What are the steps in renting a mountain cabin?
- First browse our listings and select a couple of cabins that you are really interested in. Fill out the reservations request form and send it, or give us a call. Our friendly staff is waiting on your call and they will go over your preferences and requirements and help you make the most fitting selection for your getaway.
Do you require a deposit on the cabin?
- In order to confirm a reservation we will require a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) to charge 50% of the total rental. The second 50% is due at check in, paid by cash or credit card only. Unfortunately, we cannot accept checks, money orders, or cashier checks for the second payment. You must arrive before 7:00 pm in order to pay your balance upon your arrival. If you plan to check in after 7:00 pm, you must call our office to make other payment arrangements for the second half of your payment. A security deposit of $250.00 will be required at check in. You can pay this in cash or we can place a hold on your credit card. The security deposit will be returned within 3-5 days after your departure if no damages are found and all check out instructions are followed.
Are there any additional fees?
- A cleaning fee, applicable sales and lodging taxes and a $10 processing fee will be added to each stay. Cleaning fees vary for each cabin depending on the size and cleaning difficulty. Also, our rates are based on a party of up to four people. For each additional person there will be a fee of $10 per person per night extra.
What is your cancellation policy on renting a cabin?

Are pets allowed in the cabins?
- Some of our cabins are “pet friendly” and are so designated by the cabin’s owner. Any pets must be pre-registered. If a pet is discovered not registered, or occupying a “non-pet friendly” property, the guest may be assessed a minimum of $100.

- All that is necessary to bring is clothing and personal toiletries. Your cabin will be stocked with an initial supply of toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher soap, and bath soap. All kitchens are fully stocked with utensils. However, it may be a good idea to bring or pick up paper towels, laundry detergent, and coffee filters as these are not always provided. Do you provide firewood?

After the initial supply is used, additional wood is the responsibility of the guest. Absolutely NO wood is to be picked up from the cabin property! Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside, unless the property is fitted with a fire ring. No firewood is provided during the spring and summer months of May through September.
Do I have to clean the cabin before check out?
- We do not expect you to clean the cabin, but you will be provided with checkout instructions upon arrival that we ask you to follow.
What activities are available nearby?

With slightly more effort, you might browse the antique shops and boutiques along historic Blue Ridge’s Main Street or take the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway to McCaysville. For the more adventurous, you might take in the mountain scenery by horseback or even 4-wheel ATV. A little more adventure might take you to hike or mountain bike the Chattahoochee or Cohutta Forests, to go tubing on the Toccoa River or fly down Firewire Ziplines. For the even more adventurous, try whitewater rafting on the nearby Ocoee River, site of the 1996 Olympic Whitewater venue. Our beautiful Lake Blue Ridge is one of the most pristine in the southeast and offers excellent fishing, boating, and swimming. Boat rentals are available at the lake. Other activities include a Scenic Railroad tour, hiking, and one of the last remaining Drive In Theatres in the state of Georgia!
